Responsibilities

Create high-quality animations for characters, props, and gameplay elements using tools like Cascadeur, MetaHuman, or iClone.
Rig and skin characters and objects to ensure they perform well in real-time environments.
Implement animations in Unreal Engine 5 using Sequencer, Animation Blueprints, and state machines for smooth transitions and gameplay responsiveness.
Design and implement real-time VFX using Niagara for environmental effects (e.g., weather, fire, water) and character actions (e.g., energy bursts, explosions).
Develop shaders and materials for dynamic and cinematic effects.
Use Unreal Engine Blueprints to set up animation states, transitions, and trigger-based effects that enhance gameplay.
Collaborate closely with designers and programmers to ensure animations and VFX align with game mechanics.
Optimize animations, VFX, and materials to ensure high performance across PC, Xbox, and PlayStation platforms.

Required

Minimum 2-3 years of experience in animation, VFX, or technical art for games, with hands-on expertise in Unreal Engine.
Proficiency in animation tools like Cascadeur, MetaHuman, iClone, Maya, or Blender.
Experience with Unreal Engine’s Niagara VFX system and Material Editor for creating real-time effects.
Strong knowledge of rigging, skinning, and animation techniques, including IK/FK systems and animation blending.
Proven ability to create and integrate real-time VFX and animations in Unreal Engine, with a focus on seamless gameplay experiences.
Familiarity with optimization techniques for animations and effects in real-time engines.
A portfolio demonstrating high-quality animations, VFX, and Unreal Engine integrations.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical challenges.

Preferred

Experience with published titles or significant contributions to shipped games is a plus.
