Upstream Oil and Gas Senior Consultant

Responsibilities
Provide subject matter expertise on upstream oil and gas financial accounting, including production allocation, revenue recognition, joint interest billing (JIB), division of interest (DOI), authorizations for expenditure (AFE), and lease operating expense tracking
Conduct assessments of clients' existing systems, processes, and workflows to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement
Guide clients in configuring and optimizing software solutions to address their specific business needs, including allocations, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to create logical and innovative solutions to complex problems
Develop and execute implementation plans according to project scope, timeline, milestones, and resource requirements
Establish and nurture strong relationships with key client stakeholders and act as a point of contact throughout the solution process
Lead training sessions and workshops for end-users to ensure successful adoption and utilization of the software implementation
Provide ongoing support and guidance to clients during the implementation process, addressing any issues, questions, or concerns that may arise
Develop and deliver training materials, user guides, and documentation to support clients' understanding and effective use of the software
Proactively identify and mitigate risks and issues that may impact the successful completion of the project
Collaborate with project managers to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to quality standards

Required
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, engineering, or a related field (experience in lieu of education may be considered)
4+ years’ experience in upstream oil and gas accounting, with a strong understanding of business processes such as production and revenue accounting, cost tracking, and asset management
4+ years’ experience with Quorum, W Energy, SAP, or similar software
4+ years’ experience in software implementation, consulting, or related roles within the software or energy industries
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Familiarity with system integrations, data migration, and business process mapping
Experience with Excel, SQL, and/or Alteryx for data analysis
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on communicating complex concepts clearly in a client-facing environment
Willingness to travel to client sites as needed
