Responsibilities

Developing new business
Interfacing with channel partners and key account contacts
Growing the target account base year over year
Meeting or exceeding set quotas
Preparation and delivery of OEM proposals within prospective accounts
Seek out new OEM/Military/Government accounts through prospecting and customer visits
Create a target list of accounts for rugged embedded products
Promote Advantech rugged products and participate in tradeshows to generate new leads
Strategically position Advantech’s value proposition to key accounts
Serve as a strategic business resource to the OEMs
Negotiate various types of contracts
Manage daily sales operations and working with cross functional teams

Required

Prior Pre or Post sales experience with Military/government customers
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Strong understanding of the technical requirements in computer hardware and embedded electronics
Experience selling into OEMs, End Users, Integrators, Resellers
Successful candidate should have 3-5 years' sales experience with embedded and computer system level products, military/government market preferred
Self-starter, team player, positive attitude who can work independently without constant supervision
Understanding of embedded systems, industrial PC (hardware and software) is a plus
Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Computer or Business preferred
To conform to U.S. Government export regulations (ITAR), applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8. U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
