Responsibilities

Design and Analysis: Develop compliant designs for pressure vessels following ASME standards.
Code Compliance: Ensure designs meet ASME standards and regulatory requirements.
Review and Inspection: Verify compliance of engineering drawings with ASME standards.
Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to integrate ASME code requirements.
Documentation and Reporting: Prepare technical reports and communicate findings effectively.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on ASME codes and identify process improvements.

Required

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Extensive experience working with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, including Section VIII, Division 1 and Division 2.
Proven track record of designing and analyzing pressure vessels using engineering software and calculation methods.
Strong understanding of materials selection, welding techniques, and non-destructive testing methods relevant to pressure vessel fabrication.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

Preferred

Previous experience in the oil and gas, petrochemical, or power generation industries.
Certification(s) related to ASME codes and standards (e.g., ASME Section VIII Inspector, ASME Authorized Inspector).
Familiarity with industry-specific software tools such as PV Elite, Compress, and AutoCAD.
Knowledge of international pressure vessel codes and standards (e.g., API, EN, ISO).
