Responsibilities
Provide strategic financial direction and oversight, ensuring alignment with the institution's goals and objectives.
Lead the annual budgeting process and develop financial forecasts to support decision-making and resource allocation.
Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, to internal and external stakeholders.
This department oversees cash management, investment strategies, and financial risk management to optimize the institution's financial position.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and manage the external audit process, including coordinating with auditors and preparing necessary documentation.
Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
Supervise, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Collaborate with the leadership team and other departments to support strategic initiatives and enhance financial literacy across the organization.
Maintain effective relationships with banks, auditors, and other financial partners to support the institution's financial operations.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics required
Minimum of 7 years of progressive financial management experience, specifically within trade or for-profit educational institutions
Proven ability to lead and develop finance teams, with strong interpersonal and communication skills
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to think critically and strategically about financial issues and opportunities
Focused on achieving results and driving financial performance
Strong team player who can work effectively across departments and with diverse stakeholders
Preferred
CPA and/or Master’s degree preferred
Experience with financial software such as CampusVue/Nexus, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Dynamics
