Responsibilities

Direct communications/contact with policymakers

Preparing legislative testimony

Supervising IBWA Senior Director of Government Relations and managing relationships with contracted lobbyists

Preparing comments on proposed regulations

Drafting policy positions and other materials

Working with and leading coalitions on matters of mutual interest

Organizing and directing grassroots activities to support state and federal government relations goals (e.g., coordinate letter-writing, phone or e-mail campaigns)

Helping member companies initiate plant tours for policymakers

Managing the IBWA Political Action Committee (PAC)

Liaison with regional bottled water associations and coordinating grassroots efforts with state legislators and regulators

Contributing to association publications

Working with other IBWA departments to develop positions and statements on issues of concern to the bottled water industry.
