Responsibilities

Complete an assessment of ACI’s current technology architecture within the first 30 days that covers cost, fit and maintainability of key technologies.
Design the 18-month ideal technology architecture with a executable roadmap to ensure we have the right technology that makes us productive with the right ROI within 90 days.
Lead and oversee ISO and SOC 2 compliance audits, ensuring alignment with security and operational standards, while providing guidance and support to internal teams throughout the audit process.
Develop and train employees on IT policies on critical cybersecurity, data protection, and regulatory compliance programs (e.g., GDPR, FERPA).
Develop an internal dashboard that measures technology utilization including license allocation and usage to inform Executive Leadership within 90 days.
Drive and improve on IT onboarding for new ACI Learning team members to ensure a positive and fast time to productivity experience.
Evaluate and recommend automation and improvements to the current IT HelpDesk system within 90 days.
Work with current and potential technology providers to understand their roadmaps and continually keep company leadership apprised of new opportunities to increase productivity.
Work with vendors to provide ongoing training and best practices updates to ACI Learning team members.
Support acquisition diligence and integration as a key member of the senior leadership team.
Negotiate contracts, SLAs, and vendor partnerships to support operational and technological objectives.

Required

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
10+ years of experience in technology leadership roles, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership position (e.g., Director or VP level).
Experience working on selecting, procuring and deploying company-wide technologies for companies with several hundred employees.
Have led successful ISO and SOC II audits for companies.
Have experience with compliance programs, such as GDPR, ACCET, SOC 2, FERPA, and other regulatory frameworks that ensure data security, privacy, and operational compliance.
Experience deploying and managing Microsoft and/or Google technology platforms.
Proven experience in overseeing large-scale IT operations, cloud-based systems, and cybersecurity in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Demonstrated success in scaling internal technology systems in alignment with business growth and product development.

Preferred

Experience with automation, AI, and data analytics technologies is highly desirable.
A master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
MBA or another relevant advanced degree is highly desirable for understanding the business and strategic implications of technology decisions.
Experience participating in acquisition diligence and integration activities.
Prior experience working with educational technologies (LMS, adaptive learning platforms, etc.) or in education-focused organizations (schools, universities, educational institutions) to understand the unique technology needs and compliance requirements.
Experience managing multi-region technology operations and teams across different geographies, including handling issues related to data sovereignty, localization, and diverse regulatory environments in education.
