Responsibilities

Develop comprehensive payer strategy and execution roadmap

Build and lead Vital Tears' first in-house market access team

Recruit and develop key positions including National Account Director and Reimbursement Operations Director

Create and manage departmental budget and resource allocation

Develop and own relationships with major national and regional payers

Create and present compelling value propositions to payer committees

Lead in network negotiations for coverage policies and reimbursement rates

Build on existing payer relationships and expand to additional major payers

Establish robust billing operations infrastructure

Implement claims management and tracking systems

Develop payer-specific billing guidelines

Create and optimize prior authorization processes

Drive clean claims rate to 90%+ and reduce processing time to 30 days

Partner with Clinical team on evidence generation strategy

Work with Commercial team to develop pull-through programs

Collaborate with Patient Services on billing operations

Support Sales team with payer coverage intelligence

Guide Marketing on payer-focused communications
