Responsibilities
Develop and execute comprehensive managed care contracting strategies to optimize revenue and reimbursement for partner practices.
Perform a review of existing payer relationships to identify opportunities for refinement and/or renegotiation.
Lead negotiations with payers to secure favorable contract terms, rates, and network participation for mental health services; lead the execution of new contracts and contract renewals to ensure maximum reimbursement, operational efficiency and compliance.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including RCM, finance, legal, and clinical teams, to ensure alignment of contracting strategies with organizational goals and compliance standards.
Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and market dynamics affecting managed care contracting, and adjust strategies accordingly.
Provide strategic guidance on payer relations, identifying opportunities for expansion, managing key relationships, and resolving contractual issues.
Analyze and assess payer performance metrics, ensuring contract compliance and driving improvements in financial outcomes.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key external stakeholders, including payers, governmental agencies, and industry associations.
Oversee the development of data-driven reports and presentations to communicate contract performance, financial impacts, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership.
Work collaboratively with the executive team to contribute to the overall growth and success of the mental healthcare MSO.
Build collaborative relationships with external stakeholders; must be able to have crucial conversations involving these stakeholders with tact and decorum.
Ability to manage through ambiguity and ever-changing timelines and business assumptions.
Organizes and manages the work and resources of his/her functional unit to optimize productivity, effectiveness, and efficiency in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the organization.

Required
Proven leader with extensive experience in the healthcare industry
Strong negotiation skills
