Vice President of Sales, Life Sciences

Responsibilities
Lead and coach the Life Sciences sales team to hit ARR growth targets
Partner with Life Sciences leadership team to develop growth strategy and ensure plan execution for each life sciences client segment
Define Business Development Director-level account assignments and quota assignments to operationalize strategy and plan
Refine and deliver sales playbooks, training and enablement materials that improve sales effectiveness, increase quota attainment and builds a high performing strategic sales team
Maintain and call quarterly and annual forecast for the life sciences sales team to Exec Management
Coordinate resources within life sciences and other departments, and remove roadblocks, to ensure the team achieves objectives
Build relationships and trust with key clients
Support the sales team directly and indirectly in opportunity pursuits

Required
15+ years of sales leadership experience in the life sciences, healthcare technology, or related industries
Proven track record of delivering revenue at or above target, individually and as a team lead
Experience in client-facing roles of increasing responsibility, delivering innovative SaaS recurring revenue software products, analytics, or consulting services to Life Sciences
Experience managing five or more direct reports and managing other people managers
Deep understanding of the life sciences ecosystem, including key players, trends, and regulatory considerations
Exceptional leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to build, inspire, and lead high-performing teams
Proven track record of creating, implementing and driving adoption of sales playbooks and frameworks to improve pipeline performance and team attainment
Hands-on experience working with sales, marketing, market access, and other HCP, payer, and patient-level data
Agility to work across internal teams to deliver to customer contractual requirements and business needs
Demonstrated track record of growing and retaining high performing teams and culture in a fast-paced, dynamic and rapidly changing startup environment
Willing to travel to meet with clients and team on site and at industry events (10% of time)
Salesforce, Tableau and Google Workspace proficiency
