Responsibilities
Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy that aligns with the company's overall goals and objectives.
Ownership of the sales function for the organization including exceeding weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales quotas, including minimum dollar values established for each period.
Present progress towards performance metrics on a regular basis.
Foster a positive and results-oriented sales culture.
Communicate information learned during the sales process regarding positioning, competition and industry trends weekly to LT and other teams.
Ensure continuous functional improvement including identifying and implementing AI solutions that optimize sales systems and processes, reduce costs, drive value, and/or shorten the sales cycle.
Develop and coach direct reports on sales methodology, conduct role plays, and provide other necessary feedback to ensure the success of the team
Own the financial performance of Sales, including P&L oversight.
Execute the Apex Leaders sales methodology, approaching opportunities in a consultative manner ensuring our differentiation is clearly understood and expectations appropriately set.
Drive the entire pipeline from initial sales call through discovery, evaluating, negotiation and closing.
Travel to meet with prospective clients and to industry conferences (travel expectation is up to 50% per month).
Continually learn Apex Leaders’ service offerings to better articulate value to potential clients.
Maintain appropriately balanced sales funnel to ensure continuous opportunity movement across the sales function.
Ensure all prospect interaction recorded in Salesforce to ensure proper metrics, enable marketing to assist through pipeline and ensure seamless transition to Customer Success.
Partner with Customer Success and Operations to ensure smooth transition of clients.
Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to your team members.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.

Required
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited undergraduate institution or relevant equivalent experience required
10+ years of experience in sales development, lead generation, business development, and/or sales
Proven track record closing new enterprise business utilizing an account based Challenger Sales approach
Building and managing sales teams while continuing to be an individual contributor
Experience in selling $200k+ contracts
Proficient in using Salesforce, Google Suite, Salesloft, LinkedIn, and other databases
Salesforce proficiency
Excellent oral (including call control) and written communication skills
Executive presence and solid presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with multiple C level executives in a consensus based sales process
Ability to quickly learn new processes and technology and proactively work to improve internal processes as necessary
Preferred
Previous experience selling to private equity firms, hedge funds, strategy consultancies, and/or financial services firms is desired, but not required
Preferred experience being a part of a Leadership Team providing strategic insights on market dynamics and feedback to other areas of our business
