Responsibilities

Accountable for the definition of the technology strategy, leading across Sorenson to ensure the strategy meets business and market needs. This will be a holistic strategy to transform existing tech costs and operating models in order to build new digital growth engines for Sorenson.
Ensure adoption of the Sorenson Tech Strategy, through coordinated stakeholder management and leadership to ensure strategic themes are cascaded and understood.
Setup, monitor, and communicate performance and outcomes of technology strategy through scorecards, KPIs, benefits management/realization etc.
Lead proactively to flexibly adapt and iterate execution based on the performance of strategy in action.
Contribute to adoption of an Enterprise Portfolio Management model to regularly reconcile, manage, and extract value from strategic priorities for technology investment across Sorenson. This includes direct line management of the program management responsibility across technology and implementing a regular business-wide cadence of transparent review and sign off of all technology investments.
Provide strategic tech MA&D leadership to ensure strategic value is obtained from operating model changes across Sorenson.
Manage strategic vendors to ensure tech strategy is aligned and understood by key partners, and maximum value is released through these relationships/contracts by Sorenson.
Deliver thought leadership to business leaders and support development of digital strategies to improve customer data acquisition and use-case development and marketing.
Collaborate with executive team members and directors to prioritize the business strategies of the company’s initiatives.
Collaborate with the Office of the CEO on priorities and transformation initiatives.
Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement and innovation that values learning, commitment to quality and hitting deadlines.
Mange risk and drive opportunities to identify change initiatives ensuring compliance risks are addressed and mitigated.
Understand the depth and breadth of internal organizational functions and processes while also scanning the external marketplace to identify ways to solve customer, technology, resources, or vendors challenges.
Lead the organization to excellence through transformation initiatives in all aspects of the organization.
Own overall accountabilities for technology financial performance improvement and stakeholder management for Exec and BOD.
Responsible for management of strategic partnerships through the vendor management office.
Support and drive technology modernization initiatives.
Build and maintain key relationships across the organization.
Align new business strategy or directions with the overall goals of the organization.
Develop policies, practices, and procedures that have a significant impact on the organization.
Other duties as assigned.

Required

4 years experience in business strategy development in technology functions
5 years experience in Leadership position in matrix environment
Expertise in portfolio management at the enterprise level
Experience leading and/or starting up a technology vendor management function
Experience in financial modeling in the technology space
Expertise in process mapping and operating model evolutions
Experience leading leaders and expertise in developing and mentoring others
Experience in delivering significant outcomes for a business through technology function
Great written communication skills, exceptional presentation skills, and ability to present in public
Ability to build collaborative relationships

Preferred

4 Year / Bachelors Degree in Business or similar degree
consultant background (especially from Accenture, BCG, PWC, McKinsey)
