Responsibilities

Provide daily operational and project support for the FDA Windows server and VMware environment.

Maintain stability of environment by performing regularly scheduled maintenance (Hardware/Software) patching and upgrades.

Create / maintain technical documentation for supported systems.

Maintain stability of environment by performing regularly scheduled maintenance (Hardware/Software) patching and upgrades.

Responsible for compliance of all assigned hardware, equipment, and configurations.

Automate processes in the VMware environment, including scripting experience/expertise using PowerShell, etc.

Evaluate, recommend, and implement changes to existing technologies, new technologies determined to be relevant in meeting both the strategic and tactical plans of the organization.

Position is 8-5 ET and requires participating in a 24/7 on-call schedule.

Required

5 years with BS/BA; Additional 4 years of experience maybe accepted in lieu of the degree.

5+ years of hands-on experience with complete compute infrastructure supporting physical, virtual (VMware), and cloud (public, hybrid) compute environments, equivalent experience providing operational support for virtualized environments using VMware vSphere.

5+ years of hands-on experience with Windows Server Operating Systems.

Demonstrated experience using VMware vSphere, Windows OS, and VMware vRealize Suite.

Experience using ServiceNow or other ticketing systems

Must be a US Citizen

Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance
