Responsibilities
Identify potential grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, government agencies, and other sources. Maintain a database or list of grant opportunities, deadlines, and requirements.
Develop, write, and submit high-quality grant proposals tailored to specific funders. Collaborate with the Board of Directors and staff to gather information needed for proposals, including budgets, program details, and impact data.
Work closely with other members of the Development Committee and Board of Directors, to ensure consistency in messaging and funding efforts. Seek input and approval from the Board of Directors for grant applications as necessary.
Track submitted grant applications, follow up on pending requests, and document outcomes. Assist with grant reporting, including progress updates and final reports required by funders.
Stay informed about The Exceptional Sidekick’s mission, programs, and strategic priorities to effectively communicate its impact in grant proposals. Provide regular updates to the Board of Directors on grant-related activities and results.
