Responsibilities

Developing business cases and generating buy-in for multiple consulting practices (digital, business services, marketing, etc.).
Researching strategies to implement new practices including leveraging internal talent, hiring specialized talent and company acquisition.
Implementing newly approved consulting practices, establishing a complimentary suite of services, and piloting new solutions in the market.
Guiding new practices to achieve outstanding growth and long-term sustainability.
Representing Velera at roadshows, conferences, and other industry events.
Serve as the head of Velera’s new consulting team with ultimate responsibility for overall success of client engagements and growing consulting revenue.
Develop Velera’s consulting strategic plan as a member of the consulting leadership team and own critical initiatives with significant impact towards organizational goals.
Lead a team of highly specialized consultants responsible for sourcing and selling consulting engagements to banks and credit unions.
Identify and develop market facing opportunities, such as industry and league conferences, to grow the consulting business.
Research, analyze, and monitor the portfolio of Velera clients to identify consulting opportunities.
Stay abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to our clients.
Provide guidance to consultants in solution development, delivery and cross-selling.
Play a strategic thought leadership role in understanding marketplace trends to identify growth opportunities for our Fis.
Thoroughly understand the competitive landscape and how Velera can be best positioned to be the preferred advisor to our clients.
Interact effectively, proactively and responsively with the highest levels of executive management, both externally senior executives of FIs and internally within Velera.
Act as a professional resource and mentor in contributing both to client engagements and internal discussions with Velera consultants.
Champion change leadership to enhance Velera’s consulting services and foster a culture of entrepreneurial innovation where consultants are driven to find new solutions that benefit our clients.
Lead and mentor preparation, articulation, and execution of business cases and implementation plans.
Engage C-suite executives in dialogue and problem solving and support consulting team in doing same, to build relationships and identify new business opportunities in pursuit of outstanding member satisfaction.
Contribute to Velera revenue growth by developing content for marketing and sales collateral, public relations, trade press, and related promotional materials.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of trends and developments within financial services industry to determine future strategies and potential mutually beneficial partnership opportunities.
Speak at, participate in panel discussions at and attend industry trade shows, seminars, user groups, and conferences.
Perform all other duties as assigned.

Required

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Analytics or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Fifteen (15) years of experience in digital solutions, product management, and operations in the banking industry.
Ten (10) years of experience managing product or consulting teams, including hiring, developing, motivating and directing people required.
Five (5) years of experience in a consulting firm.

Preferred

Master’s degree preferred.
