Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
Manage ancillary functions include tax, compliance & reporting, payroll & benefits, and other similar responsibilities.
Design, implement, and maintain efficient financial systems and processes to optimize operations, reporting, and planning.
Collaborate cross functionally to ensure seamless integration of financial systems with other business systems.
Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans, budgets, and forecasts.
Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
Provide insightful financial reports and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Prepare financial materials for investor presentations and board meetings.
Collaborate with the CEO and COO to manage investor relations and fundraising activities.
Be a leader within the MD Ally organization, helping to foster an environment of financial awareness and understanding, and impact of decisions and outcomes on finances.
Recruit, hire, and develop a talented and mission driven team.

Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
CPA, degree in Accounting and MBA, or commensurate experience
10+ years of experience in accounting and finance, preferably in the healthcare or technology industry with demonstrated progression of responsibility.
Strong understanding of GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
Deep expertise of revenue recognition standards for software and services.
Ability and desire to work in a fast paced, start-up environment with a variety of constantly shifting challenges and opportunities.
Experienced leader with expertise in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills which can be applied directly within finance and cross functionally to help advance business outcomes.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy while driving results quickly. Comfort driving progress over perfection and excellent judgement for when perfection is truly needed.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including managing and communicating up, down, and laterally.
Preferred
Experience with SaaS or healthcare technology companies.
Experience with fundraising and capital raising activities.
Experience in managing M&A or similar transactions.
