Responsibilities
Accountable for the full operational and profit and loss (P&L) performance of the Market Sector (MS) by serving as the face of the company, growth, brand, and service delivery quality including Versar corporate culture, mission, and values.
Develop, in collaboration with the BA Leader, annual operational plan that supports Versar’s long term operations strategy.
Inform in a timely and candid manner the conduct of the day-to-day operations of the Sector goals or objectives approved by the CEO, BA leader or the Delegation of Authority (DOA).
Manage performance and develop team members that will inspire and motivate individuals to achieve personal goals and objectives and those of Versar, Inc.
Establish and manage technical service and quality including development of expanded lines of services and market adjacencies to meet new Customer market and contract requirements.
Maintain a positive and ethical work climate that is conducive to attracting, retaining, and motivating a diverse group of top-quality employees at all levels.
Participate in forums related to the industry, conferences, and Customer discussions.
Lead, business expansion activities (growth investments, corporate alliances, etc.) including growth plans into adjacent markets.
Develop in concert with Business Development, business value propositions, solutions and pricing for existing and new Customers challenges and pursuit requirements to expand the market sector contract portfolio.
Lead NRP related business development capture tasks and proposal efforts including establishing relationships with industry alliances and partnerships.
Focuses on expanding existing NRP lines of business aligned to Customer mission objectives.
Support new business development initiatives by identifying opportunities to grow revenue and expand Versar-wide services offerings to clients.
Support the Leadership team with high-fidelity insights from Customers and assessments derived from client and industry engagements to develop account objectives.
Serves as a key member of the Versar management team including as a member of the Versar Core Team.
Serves as a member of joint venture advisory and governance boards.

Required
Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or other equivalent discipline.
Professional registration/certification such as PE, PG, PMP. Master’s degree a plus.
15 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years of leadership.
Five (5) years of Business Development lifecycle and proposal process (Shipley process or similar) experience with the government agencies.
Technical leadership for hazardous waste remediation under CERCLA and RCRA programs throughout the project life cycle with focus on exit strategy and remedy implementation and completion.
Proven track record of building relationships with senior customer executives in large or highly strategic accounts. Experience in managing various stakeholder relationships to get consensus on solutions/engagements.
Accomplished results that demonstrate confidence to engage new Customers and delivered an elevated experience and results from previous contractors and contract performance.
Proven track record driving decisions collaboratively, resolving conflicts, and ensuring follow-through with verbal and written communication.
Proven track record of developing technical value propositions, business cases, white papers, and impactful Customer proposals with winning results.
Strong presentation skills with a high degree of comfort with both large and small audiences and various levels of management.
Demonstrates a Customer-centric leadership style and approach.
Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an agile process.
Knowledge and proven performance in strategic and financial analysis.
Presents and creates perception in interpersonal skills that motivates to achieve sales, business objectives and Customer satisfaction.
Presents an approach to the market that emphasizes measurable impact, scalability, and continuous improvement, with a focus on supporting success of broader Versar strategy and goals.
Creates business environments maximize peer relationships, develops teams and subordinate’s skills, and builds trust.
Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
Successful results of preemployment screenings, including federal background check, MVR, and drug screen.
Comply with company drug and alcohol policy.
Be authorized to work in the US or will be authorized by the successful candidate’s start date.
Preferred
Master’s degree.
