Responsibilities
Read and understand shop orders, production schedules, and follow instructions.
Identify and separate nonconforming parts and report issues to maintenance.
Monitor attendance, attitude, and performance of team members.
Recommend for hire, promotion, discipline, or release as needed.
Direct associates in production volume, quality, and meeting schedules.
Train new associates on work procedures and promote continuous improvement.
Work with Maintenance Department to maintain machinery and equipment.
Keep records of departmental activities and perform other duties as required.
Lift 40+ lbs. repetitively, stand the entire shift, and perform physical tasks.
Adhere to safety rules and regulations, including PPE requirements.

Required
Able to read and understand shop orders, production schedules, and follow written or verbal instructions
Meet and exceed safety, quality, and productivity expectations
Identify and separate nonconforming parts (defective)
Report issues to maintenance and supervisor
Follow all safety rules and regulations, including housekeeping (5S)
Monitor attendance, attitude, and performance of individuals
Recommend for hire, promotion, discipline, or release as needed
Assist Supervisor in directing associates with respect to production volume, quality, and meeting production schedules and delivery dates
Ensure employees adhere to company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices (5S)
Responsible for training new associates on work procedures and job-related duties
Promote an atmosphere of continuous improvement within the department
Work closely with Maintenance Department to assure proper maintenance of machinery, equipment, and facilities
Keep records of departmental activities as required
Must be able to lift 40+ lbs. repetitively
Must be able to stand the entire shift
Position requires bending, stooping, stretching, and reaching
PPE Requirement: safety glasses, safety shoes, and hearing protection
