Responsibilities
Coordinating work and the work of other junior engineers.
Developing and monitoring schedule and budget components of larger projects.
Demonstrating strong and proactive communication skills to keep the Project Manager updated on all issues and work progress.
Leading the design or portions of the design.
Working with and coordinating discipline work internally and through subcontractors.
Participating in Construction Administration activities.
Providing guidance to designers/drafters on design drawing production.
Making decisions independently or with appropriate oversight of engineering problems and methods.
Working on multiple projects simultaneously in a professional, reliable, and organized manner.
Mentoring and directing staff on technical assignments.
Interacting with clients and representing the firm professionally.
Coordinating with contractors and clients in the field during construction.
Ensuring projects are executed in compliance with specifications and drawings.
Interfacing with local and state Department of Environmental Protection to ensure code and permit requirements are met.
Assisting with proposal development and new opportunity pursuits.
Participating in professional organizations.
Having a genuine interest and enthusiasm for water and the environment.

Required
Technical expertise in environmental engineering
In-depth understanding of engineering concepts associated with sewer collection systems and pump station design
Experience preparing design documents, engineering reports, and contract documents for bidding and construction
Experience overseeing the construction of wastewater projects in the field
Experience working in a project team setting
Experience coordinating and conducting submittal reviews, RFIs, and contractor payment applications
Familiarity with AutoCAD software
Ability to make decisions independently on engineering problems and methods
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
Mentoring and directing staff on technical assignments
Interacting with clients and representing the firm professionally
Coordinating with contractors and clients in the field during construction
Assist with proposal development and new opportunity pursuits
Participation in professional organizations
Genuine interest and enthusiasm for water and the environment
4-8 years of engineering experience
B.S. Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
Preferred
Experience with multi-disciplinary teams
Experience leading the design or portions of the design
Experience in Construction Administration
Ability to connect and work with external suppliers and subcontractors
Spending time in the field or on construction projects
Ability to obtain a Massachusetts P.E. license within one year of employment
