Responsibilities
Design responsibilities and project management
Develop construction plans and specifications for various projects
Perform design computations and cost estimates
Coordinate design team efforts and requirements
Provide construction phase engineering services
Support time-critical report development and production
Coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants, and government agencies
Engage in business development activities like proposal writing and project interviews

Required
Candidates must have the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-production office environment, build successful team relationships and maintain positive coworker interactions
Candidates must demonstrate familiarity with hydraulic designs, sewer rehabilitation, water and sewer design, water and water/wastewater treatment process design, engineering economics, preparation of specifications and engineering report writing
Candidates must demonstrate organized practices, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and have flexibility to support time-critical report development and production in order to meet demanding schedules
Candidates should have a firm grasp of general heavy construction principles; environmental facilities operations-related experience is considered a plus
Applicant should demonstrate strong team-building skills
Candidate should be able to present technical writing product to internal team
Strong computer skills are required: MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, ArcGIS, and MS Project are a plus
A bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
A working knowledge of Federal, State and local jurisdiction permitting regulations
5-10 Years’ Experience
Preferred
Possess a Professional Engineering License in the state of Maryland or have the ability to acquire a license through reciprocity within six months of employment
A passing grade on the NCEES Fundamentals of Engineering exam is preferred
Experience working with local clients
