Responsibilities

Maintain and monitor the organization’s websites to ensure maximum uptime, reliability, and performance.

Implement updates, patches, and enhancements for website functionality and security

Configure and manage web servers, including IIS, Apache, or Nginx.

Handle domain registration, SSL certificate management, and DNS configurations.

Resolve website-related technical issues in a timely manner.

Work closely with IT and development teams to address server and application-level problems.

Monitor website speed and performance, implementing optimizations to improve load times.

Use tools like Google Analytics, GTmetrix, and similar platforms to analyze user behavior and improve usability.

Ensure compliance with security standards and implement measures to protect against cyber threats.

Monitor and mitigate vulnerabilities using firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and malware protection tools.

Work with developers, designers, and content teams to deploy updates and new features.

Coordinate with stakeholders to align web projects with organizational goals.

Establish and manage website backup protocols to ensure data integrity.

Create disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime during outages.

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Proficiency in web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.

Experience with CMS platforms like WordPress, Drupal, or Joomla.

Knowledge of database systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server).

Experience in hosting platforms and cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).

Understanding of SEO principles and tools.

Experience in website administration or a similar role.

Hands-on experience with website optimization and troubleshooting.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.

Required Security clearance.

Preferred

Federal Experience is a plus.
