Responsibilities

Write well designed, testable and efficient code by using best software development practices

Create web user interfaces

Integrate data from various REST based back end services and databases

Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs

Keep informed of emerging web technologies and industry trends

Cooperate with web designers to match visual design intent

Assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems

Provide technical leadership to other software developers

Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

Required

Proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript and React is required

BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent

Proven work experience in web programming

Excellent programming skills and in depth knowledge of modern web technologies

A solid foundation in object-oriented software design and development

Experience working on Windows and Linux based environments

The ability to work well in and across teams

Strong English written and oral communication skills

Excellent analytic and problem solving skills

A creative mind with the ability to translate innovative ideas into technical solutions

Preferred

Knowledge of Node.js and Webpack is desirable

Experience with Oracle technologies an asset (WebLogic, Oracle Database, Java)

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
