Responsibilities

Write C# ASP.NET code implementing features in content management and summer reading software.
Test and perform code reviews on code written by other developers.
Plan implementation of features and fixes to find a clean approach fitting with the existing project design.
Migrate existing applications/services created in older technologies to our new and current stack.
Discuss with the development team when encountering technical debt or multiple approaches to solve a problem with no obvious best solution.
Ensure Web pages are accessible to all customers.
Demonstrate superb customer service and communication skills with internal and external customers.
Provide feedback for continuous improvement on process, approach, architecture, and code.

Required

Two years of programming, Web design or related experience
Experience with the Microsoft Web technology stack (C#, ASP.NET, Entity Framework)
Experience with front-end JavaScript/ECMAScript and CSS, including toolkits (jQuery, Bootstrap)
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
A combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis

Preferred

A positive mental attitude, addressing challenges with enthusiasm, confidence, and determination
Experience with Git and familiarity with revision control concepts (via GitHub, Azure DevOps, GitLab)
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and relational database concepts (N+1 queries, SQL injection)
Familiarity with containerization and blue-green deployment approaches (Linux, Docker, haproxy, Kubernetes)
Passion for the craft of software development and motivation to stay abreast of Web standards and technologies
The ability to take and integrate constructive feedback into their process and development approach
