Responsibilities
Territory Development: Strategically identify and target new business opportunities, building a robust pipeline through cold calls, email outreach, and regional campaigns.
Lead Generation & Management: Secure and manage leads, ensuring all interactions and opportunities are well-documented in Salesforce.
Relationship Building: Develop and nurture relationships with school and district personnel, including Superintendents, STEM Directors, Science Supervisors, Principals, and Teachers.
Sales Presentations: Deliver compelling, high-impact presentations to district and school leaders, demonstrating the value of Penda Learning and closing new business.
Account Retention & Expansion: Drive renewals and expansions by staying engaged with current customers, ensuring successful implementations, and identifying growth opportunities.
Market Expertise: Stay informed about state and district funding opportunities, NGSS initiatives, and relevant education policies to provide valuable insights to prospects and customers.
Forecasting & Reporting: Accurately manage forecasts, pipelines, and territory reports, providing regular updates to leadership.
Represent Penda Learning at regional, state, and national education conferences.
Contribute to the overall goals and objectives of the sales division.
Continuously improve product knowledge, sales skills, and education market insights.
Maintain accurate expense reporting and adhere to company policies.

Required
Bachelor’s degree required.
3+ years of successful sales experience in K-12 technology, curriculum, or education markets.
Teaching or instructional coaching experience (particularly in science) is highly desirable.
Located in Pacific or Mountain Time Zones required.
Results-driven with a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset.
Proven ability to consistently meet or exceed sales goals.
Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills with high-level decision makers.
Experience selling to both district-level and school-level stakeholders.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently in a remote home office environment.
Willingness to travel up to 30%.
References attesting to successful sales experience.
