Responsibilities
Prepare and present safety, quality, and performance reports to customers and GEON leadership.
Plan and conduct trial runs to assess product performance.
Assess and communicate the financial impact of projects.
Document product specifications for manufacturing GEON products.
Utilize project management methods to lead projects of various sizes.
Identify and implement improvements to reduce product variation and enhance processing at customer sites.
Collaborate with Process Engineering teams on best practices and process enhancements.
Analyze data to identify opportunities for manufacturing/process improvements.
Conduct root cause analyses to address issues effectively.
Coordinate with R&D partners to ensure quality and testing conditions for GEON products.
Monitor and optimize processes to enhance cost savings, product quality, and efficiency.
Collaborate with commercial teams to engage with customers at a technical level.
Participate in customer visits to provide technical support and showcase GEON's capabilities.
Evaluate customers' manufacturing processes and provide improvement recommendations.
Offer expertise in design for manufacturability, tool design, FEA, Moldflow, and process simulation.

Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required, a focus on Plastics or Chemical Engineering is preferred.
Minimum 5+ years of Process Improvement/Engineering experience in the Wire and Cable industry with Extrusion and/or Injection Molding plastics experience.
Functional familiarity with processing a diverse polymer set (i.e. Rigid PVC, Flexible PVC, ABS, PP, and other engineered resins).
Proficiency in process optimization, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement methodologies, with Six Sigma, Kaizen, and/or LEAN certifications/belts preferred.
Extensive experience in plastic processing, including injection molding, extrusion, or blow molding.
Strong knowledge of plastic materials, processing parameters, and equipment.
Familiarity with quality management systems and standards, such as ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.
This position may be required to travel up to 50% of the time
Preferred
A focus on Plastics or Chemical Engineering is preferred.
Six Sigma, Kaizen, and/or LEAN certifications/belts preferred.
