Responsibilities
Serve as the initial point of contact for potential home health patients, coordinating with Home Health nurses
Manage new referrals and ongoing follow-ups, acting as a liaison between patients, families, and referral sources
Exercise discretion and make independent judgments while adhering to established guidelines
Maintain composure during challenging interpersonal interactions, ensuring effective communication
Utilize Microsoft Office programs, including Excel and Word, for documentation and reporting

Required
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of 2 years of recent relevant experience
Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-9 coding
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-up
Active listening skills and effective telephone communication abilities
Preferred
Experience working in a healthcare setting
Familiarity with home health services and processes
Proficiency in additional software or coding systems relevant to healthcare
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Previous experience in a customer service role within healthcare
