Responsibilities

Instructs customers via phone how to file initial, reopened, and continued unemployment insurance claims.

Answers basic/routine questions and assists with resolving issues.

Informs them of their rights and responsibilities under Unemployment Insurance laws and regulations.

Performs beginning-level eligibility reviews of simple claims in the system to ensure proper work registration, identify issues for investigation, and assign them to a claims investigator.

Assists claimants via phone with filing for interstate claims, combined wage requests, and military wage requests.

Informs claimants of the required documents needed to complete the next step of getting wages for these types of claims.

Drafts correspondence in response to claimant requests and reviews previous days' work to ensure actions are processed properly.

Performs other duties as required.
