Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive workforce development strategies tailored to each client's unique needs, focusing on inclusive and accessible workforce solutions in underserved communities.
Collaborate with clients and the Fedsprout team to draft grant proposals, focusing on workforce development components that align with funding requirements and maximize community impact.
Engage with community stakeholders to gather input and ensure the success of workforce development initiatives. Foster collaborations between government agencies, educational institutions, and private companies to create comprehensive programs.
Set and implement goals for equal opportunity employment, ensuring compliance with labor laws and best practices.
Develop Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound (SMART) metrics to track the success of workforce development initiatives and make data-driven adjustments as needed.
Leverage knowledge of the latest research, trends, and best practices in workforce development to propose and implement innovative solutions that address workforce gaps and challenges.
Work closely with HR teams, economic development professionals, and other relevant stakeholders to align workforce development strategies with broader organizational goals.

Required
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., economic development, human resources, social sciences).
At least 10 years of experience in workforce development, particularly in underserved and disadvantaged communities.
Proven experience in creating and implementing workforce development strategies that have resulted in measurable successes, such as job creation, program establishment, or collaboration with various stakeholders.
Strong understanding of labor laws, compliance, and best practices.
Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a focus on grant writing and proposal development.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Preferred
Experience working directly with HR and/or in economic development.
Experience in the energy sector and/or manufacturing, especially with utilities or technology deployments.
Familiarity with data review and analytics to identify skill gaps and develop targeted training programs.
A track record of success in projects focusing on underserved communities.
Up-to-date knowledge of the latest research and trends in workforce development and education.
Prior experience with federal and/or state grant writing.
Proven ability to develop innovative workforce solutions that improve upon the status quo.
Experience working on projects that focus on environmental and energy or environmental justice.
A background in creating apprenticeship programs or similar initiatives to address industry trends.
