Responsibilities
Lead departmental strategic planning in line with IRC’s organizational strategy.
Support Program Supervisors and Coordinators to design evidence-based programs.
Provide leadership to ensure the Youth Education team adapts to meet stakeholder needs.
Develop, implement, and ensure compliance of internal program-specific policies and procedures.
Coordinate closely with other program managers and IRC staff for seamless service delivery.
Report regularly to the Deputy Director on activities and results.
Manage a team in accordance with IRC’s People Manager Standards.
Recruit, train, and provide ongoing support to staff.
Effectively manage the development of all Youth Education proposals and service contracts.
Develop program budgets in collaboration with relevant teams.
Ensure accurate and timely reporting of services and programmatic data to donors.
Serve as Youth Education Programs team point person for collaboration with external stakeholders.

Required
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in education, child psychology, social work or relevant field strongly preferred.
Minimum of five years progressive work experience in education and/or youth development programming.
Minimum of two years’ experience managing multiple, complex education programs including staff management, program development, monitoring, and evaluation, and advocacy experience.
Experience working with English Language Learning students essential.
Previous fundraising and grant writing experience; strong analytical, training, oral and written communication skills; excellent written and oral communication skills.
Solid diplomacy, relationship building and networking skills; ability to effectively manage internal and external relationships, including community stakeholders and donors.
Previous financial management experience, including proven effective management of budgets.
Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to work successfully in cross-cultural environment.
Solid organizational skills with ability to multi-task, set priorities, manage time, and meet deadlines. Flexibility and ability to work well under pressure is essential.
Preferred
Advanced degree in education, child psychology, social work or relevant field.
