Responsibilities

Assess the status of the current system monitoring: Review the existing Zabbix setup and configuration. Identify gaps or areas for improvement. Analyze effectiveness and document the current state.

Tune the monitoring: Optimize Zabbix configuration, fine-tune thresholds, triggers, and alert settings. Implement custom templates or plugins and optimize data collection and storage settings.

Integrate monitoring and alerts into PagerDuty: Configure integration between Zabbix and PagerDuty, set up services and escalation policies, collaborate with incident management team.

Assist users with creating new monitoring: Provide training to Engineering and IT teams, develop templates and scripts, establish a process for new monitoring requests.

Documentation and knowledge transfer: Maintain up-to-date documentation, conduct training sessions, ensure documentation accessibility and understanding.

Establish a robust and efficient monitoring system, integrate with incident management workflow, and empower the IT team for ongoing development and maintenance.

Required

8-10 years of experience
