Lead Software Engineer - AWS/Spark/Python

Responsibilities
Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
Work independently to drive projects end to end utilizing the team members. Adhere to agility practices, create, groom track development stories
Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture
Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies
Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
Qualification
Required
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience
Proficient in coding in one or more languages - Java, Python, SQL
Proficient in private and public Cloud hosted Platform - Pivotal Cloud, AWS, with In-depth knowledge in AWS EC2, S3, SQS, SNS, Lambda, Glue, PySpark, Cloudwatch, Step function
Experienced in SRE and Observability tools - Splunk, Dynatrace and DataDog
Proficient in Oracle, DB2 and AW Aurora Postgress Database with hands on experience writing SQL
Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
Work in a big data environment, handling structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data
Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
Communicate complex data insights effectively to non-technical stakeholders through excellent verbal and written skills
Preferred
Experience in Data Pipeline design and development
Experience in AWS Glue, EMR and PySpark
Design and develop data pipelines using Snowflake and DataBricks to ingest, enrich, and validate data from multiple sources
Re-engineer and migrate on-premises data solutions to the cloud
