Responsibilities
Work side-by-side with a talented, dedicated staff of senior professionals who will provide broad exposure to the many different considerations affecting private debt and broadly syndicated loan financings in support of LBO’s for HL sell-side processes
Assist with evaluating and structuring financing alternatives to provide support for sell-side processes for private equity clients
Gain hands-on transaction experience by playing an integral role on deal teams from leverage reads for the initial pitch through closing
Directly interface with the capital providing community in relation to the due diligence process
Develop general corporate finance and due diligence skills relevant to raising capital, while building a detailed understanding of key developments and building and maintaining relationships in the debt capital markets
Interact with a broad range of businesses across different industries
Qualification
Required
Proven accounting, finance, financial modeling, and analytical abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
A demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with all levels of staff
Very strong work ethic and careful attention to detail
Strong organizational skills and a proven self-starter
Preferred
Two years of relevant work experience in similar roles within investment banking / private credit / private equity roles (credit underwriting, debt structuring and syndication, lending, or M&A experience preferred, but not required)
Undergraduate degree (business/economics degree preferred, but not required) and/or MBA from a strong academic institution
Top academic performer and a quick learner capable of performing in an unstructured environment
