AI Integration Engineer

Responsibilities
Collaborate with AI, IT Applications, Infrastructure and Security, center management and radiologist teams to integrate machine learning and AI models into radiology platforms and imaging systems (e.g., PACS, RIS)
Develop and implement software solutions to enable the integration of AI-powered features for image analysis, diagnostics, and radiology workflow optimization
Work with on-prem or cloud-based services and third-party tools to integrate AI technologies into existing radiology infrastructure
Design and maintain efficient data pipelines to ensure seamless data flow from imaging devices and systems to AI models, ensuring accuracy and speed in diagnostic results
Troubleshoot and optimize AI integrations to meet clinical standards and improve image processing performance
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including radiologists, data scientists, and engineers, to assess technical requirements and define integration workflows that meet healthcare regulations and standards
Monitor the performance of AI-driven radiology systems, conduct debugging, and recommend improvements based on system feedback
Collaborate with development partners to enable data capabilities for AI development
Stay current with advancements in AI, medical imaging technologies, and regulatory guidelines to ensure compliance and enhance system capabilities
Qualification
Required
3-5 years of experience in AI integration, machine learning, or a related field, with a focus on healthcare or medical imaging
Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or C++
Experience with AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras) and deploying models in healthcare environments
Familiarity with radiology-specific systems such as PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) and RIS (Radiology Information System)
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and tools relevant to AI and healthcare solutions
Knowledge of image processing, computer vision techniques, and medical imaging data formats (e.g., DICOM)
Ability to troubleshoot complex systems and resolve integration challenges in a clinical setting
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred
Strong understanding of healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA, FDA) and compliance requirements related to AI in healthcare
Preferred
Experience working with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
Familiarity with data management systems, including SQL and NoSQL databases
Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines in the context of healthcare applications
Prior experience in deploying AI solutions in medical imaging, radiology, or similar healthcare domains
