Responsibilities

Translate GM’s corporate and technology imperatives into forward-looking partner strategies with leading cloud and enterprise technology providers
Serve as a thought-partner to the business by identifying and recommending high impact partnership initiatives aligned to business, technology, and market needs
Build and maintain deep, trust-based relationships with our strategic partners – enabling GM to navigate complex organizations to secure alignment and drive joint initiatives
Lead and negotiate large-scale, non-standard, and innovation-focused transactions from inception to negotiation and final contract signature
Orchestrate complex, multi-disciplinary teams across engineering, product, legal, and business development to ensure successful execution and integration of partnerships
Manage strategic planning and governance - establish the operational rigor for the partnerships, including executive-level business reviews and key performance indicator (KPI) reporting for key strategic partners
Stay abreast of emerging technologies and partnership models, inclusive of global activities, shaping GM’s approach to innovation and external collaboration
Build, lead, mentor, and guide a high performing team of business development and partnerships professionals
Champion GM behaviors, fostering a culture of integrity, innovation, inclusivity, and accountability

Required

10+ years of progressive experience in technology partnerships and/or business development within automotive, technology, or related industries
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field preferred
MBA preferred
Proven ability to negotiate and structure complex technology partnerships and alliances
Deep expertise and technical fluency in the cloud and AI landscape, with knowledge of key players, offerings, and market trends
High agency, can handle ambiguity in a fast-moving organization, and thrives on a high level of autonomy and responsibility
Experience building and leading high-performing teams in fast-paced environments
Proven track record of building positive relationships and driving consensus internally across product, engineering, marketing, legal, finance, and more
Exceptional responsiveness and adaptability
Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills
Commitment to upholding and championing GM Behaviors

Advanced Manufacturing, Robotics, and/or AV experience is a plus
