Responsibilities
Assist with processing and responding to open records requests (and redacting responsive documents, as necessary), under the direction of assigned attorney(s)
Compose correspondence and prepare legal forms, such as pleadings, orders, subpoenas, and/or other legal documents, under the direction of assigned attorney(s)
Establish and maintain office files, logs, indices, legal references, control records, and other information in connection with the work under the control of the assigned attorney(s)
Assist with scheduling hearings and prehearing conferences, and managing cases
Answer phones, check and distribute mail, and assist with the preparation of outgoing mail
Qualification
Required
Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree
Three years of professional, administrative, or business experience
Additional education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis
Additional administrative, business, research, and/or clerical experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis
Preferred
Has a positive attitude and is a self-starter
Is professional, competent, organized, and polite
Meets necessary educational requirements or experience substitute
Has work-related experience in insurance law, administrative law and/or litigation
