Administrative Specialist Senior
Commonwealth of Kentucky is the premier law enforcement agency in the state, and they are seeking an Administrative Specialist Senior to provide professional support to the Executive Staff Advisor and the Open Records Branch. The role involves implementing and maintaining complex programs, processing open records requests, and ensuring compliance with open records laws.

Responsibilities
Assesses information and evidence records utilized in the agency’s Digital Evidence Management and Law Enforcement Recording systems
Reviews information to ensure the data integrity and correct use follow the agency’s mission, goals, objectives, public records law, and internal agency policies
Processes open records requests including working with various organizational units to collect appropriate records, redacting files, requesting dissemination, and directing the public in proper filing procedures
Collects information from various forms of data; multiple Body Worn Cameras and audio of video
Under general supervision, ensures compliance to open records laws
Works with central agency records staff in accordance with agency policies and public law to help provide modified records for dissemination to outside entities and agencies
Redact files and request dissemination
Assists in organizing digital evidence within the systems in support of the agency’s policies and procedures
Applies KY Open Records statute and regulations to requests received
Assists with the development of a resource plan to be coordinated with the agency information technology branch to seek changes and modifications within the systems
Perform research related to open records laws, regulations, and specific requests for records
Make recommendations for process improvement
Provides professional support to the Open Records Custodian to include redacting files, request dissemination, directing the public in proper filling procedures and tracking 5-day letter compliance
Qualification
Required
Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree
Three years of professional, administrative, or business experience
